Cambodian photographer at jozi art:lab

Lim Sokchanlina

We at the Sylt Foundation and its branch jozi art:lab are very proud to start a new international exchange programme in 2014.

Together with the Cambodian art space Sa Sa Bassac and Sa Sa Art Projects jozi art:lab enables the exchange of Cambodian and South African artists.

Each year one Cambodian artist will stay in Johannesburg, one South African artist will stay in Phnom Phen to explore local and international art scenes, urban developments and concepts, artistic developments in different continents, in different spaces.

2014/2015 South African artist Minnette Vari will be the first South African to take part in this exciting programme. The photographer Lim Sokchanlina will be the first Cambodian and will be at jozi art:lab in Melville in november and december 2014.
Please find information about him on his website: http://www.limsokchanlina.com

To celebrate this artist-in-residence programme and to tell you more about it and mostly to learn more about Lina and his work (that will be shown at this event as well) we would love to invite you to an

artist talk and braai
on sunday, 9th november 2014 at 2 p.m.
